Indeed, i’m aware of it too…i wouldn’t say its a problem though.
I Remember i could do that with vegas 6 but not with recent versions.

The good thing is you can have as many versions of vegas installed
and using on the same machine….LOL.

Media Manager has nothing to do with your problem…..it is
because you are online while you are editing and temporary &
internet files are constantly being processed by your computer
in the background….Firefox now further the situation, because
since its upgraded to version 3, it slows down other
tasks initiated while its running.
Clean up your computer & defrag your drive(s)…if you have one computer….stay completely offline when you are doing serious
editing work.

Mike,
The best quicktime format to render to that i would recommend
in your case is the “Photo-JPEG” format set at 23.97 fps
(progressive), and quality setting set at 95%.

Is that with Windows Vista i presume?
Vegas 8 has better integration with vista….and vegas 7
requirement is directx 9.oc
However, do a quick reinstall and see what happens.

Seems that you have accidentaly deleted some of the files needed or
that comprised parts of your vegas project,thats why thats happening.

As Laszlo said “Virtualdub itself doesn’t need to be installed, it just runs from the directory you copy it to, and it surely does not hurt Vegas in any way.” so its puzzling that you got that
message about cannot delete from registry….you where deleting something else!
See if you have a restore point available before the problems
started or before you started deleting files…and restore to
then.

Just give it a good clean including your registry, defrag and restart your computer and see if vegas starts.
This normally works.

Sorry…only DVD Architect pro 4.5 can be freely upgraded to
version 5.
OK…Use this handy little cleaner https://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
and cleanup your computer and then the registry and restart your
computer.
If problem persists, run a disk check to cleanup any further
errors lingering about, eg….Run(from start menu) type in
chkdsk c:/f then ok and y and restart.

Don’t worry anyone of this procedures wont take
more than 2 minutes, i hope one stops your burning errors.

I suspect you’ve started using a different brand or stock of blank
DVD’s why you are getting this error….lets know?
If they are…its probably a disc compatibility issue.

At the same time, Why not upgrade that to DVD Architect 5 (its free).
