I would simply recommend you upgrade to Vegas Pro 13, which is specifically made for full compatibility

When you drop the 4K footage on the timeline and trying to pan and zoom with it, What actually happen?
I work with 4k footage on a regular basis and have no issues nor issues like that none at all.
I am left wondering if that particular 4k footage you have, uses a codec format that does not sit well with Vegas!Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

I am not understanding what you describing at all. But try a fresh start in case their is some corruption somewhere,
by uninstalling Vegas and deleting all its folders in Program files, restart your system and then re-install Vegas.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

I don’t bother wasting time creating a credit crawl in Vegas… What i do is create in photoshop a still psd file with all the info,
say for example (1920 x 8640), then simply keyframe it from top to bottom in Vegas. Its a lot faster, simpler and

Been looking for the option for downloading the various updates myself, but it’s nowhere to be found.

Disable resampling on all your Video events and you will be ok.
