Vegas Pro 12 on Win 10 crashes on start up
Hello everyone. I see many people have had a similar problem. I just installed Vegas Pro 12 on my Win 10 laptop. When I try to launch it, it will almost be open and then it crashes at the GPU part. If I disable my GPU card, Vegas opens. I have unselected use GPU rendering, but it still crashes. I have the latest GPU drivers. I have tried running Vegas in compatibility mode, but it still crashes. Do you think rolling back the GPU driver would help?

I would simply recommend you upgrade to Vegas Pro 13, which is specifically made for full compatibility
with Windows 10….. You however have conflicting statements in your post.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

That’s not a bad idea, however, since I no longer make money from editing, upgrading is not in the cards right now.

OK. I got it to open. I have an AMD Radeon card and going into the Catalyst Control Center and setting Vegas to the High Performance graphics setting did the trick. It had been unassigned.
