I don’t bother with the built in Vegas stabilizer Brad…I simply
use Prodad Mercalli plugin (its perfect in every way).

The video was at 1920×1080 and the project was at 1080×720
Actually, that is the problem, as i figured. what you need to now do
is after you correct and make the project 1920×1080, is
to delete that black solid from the timeline and simply add a new
one back to the timeline.

First, Make sure the project settings (frame size..etc) is the same
settings of the footage you have on the timeline.

Obviously Randal, Vegas is not gonna just open up overnight
and start behaving with all manner of issues…You have done
or installed something that may have thrown Vegas out of whack.
Btw…Did you say you are using it now on a new system?

tsk…I too kinda find the new Render box
in Vegas 11 wanting.
Takes a lot of digging to get your desired render settings among
other things.

Removing the Magic Bullet Filters would improve the
render time yes, But that alone wont help the situation.
That particular system can only render “that fast”.
