Try resetting your Graphics / Video card settings to its correct display etc. then restart your system.

That particular window that should pop up is hidden somewhere.
Try holding down the CTRL and SHIFT keys while you start Vegas.

That is a hard one to pin point, seeing as that is an old Vegas/Acid version, plus they are the
studio versions. But im kinda thinking that the new drive you installed is why this is happening.
It may be an issue with that new drive or an issue with the Vegas/Acid Studio dated versions
having an issue with the newer drive architecture.

I simply wouldnt use the quicksync or nvenc encoder to encode that 4k format if im having that issue,
there are other and stabler encoder options.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

Which version of Vegas is this?
If the media you are editing is on a faulty external hardrive, that could be one of the culprit!Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

Re-install Vegas, then go in Vegas Preferences and enable Close media files when not the active application and see
