Vegas Pro 15 4k Rendering Experience – not good so far

I’m trying out the new version of VP 15 – I’m an existing VP 12 owner and trying to decide if its worth it.
I’ve got some 4k/30 Gopro 4 video and having a real problem rendering it – I have a kaby lake 7700k with an nvidia 1070 and am trying to get the quicksync or nvenc encoder to encode it. With 1080P video I can encode a simple video stream around 30 fps but with a 4k video its only going at 1.5 fps – and also have out of memory errors/ vegas crashes, etc.
Wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or perhaps I’m doing something wrong/gopro 4 incompatibilities????

I simply wouldnt use the quicksync or nvenc encoder to encode that 4k format if im having that issue,
there are other and stabler encoder options.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)
