We here are not fanatics Richard, we are professionals who tries to
assist others like you with your problem. Yes its unfortunate that you
had this issue with Vegas, but its not at least universal.Unfortunately since you have tried so many options to fix this, i dont
know which direction to point you to, but i can confidently tell you
that something you have installed or configured, is causing you this
frustration with Vegas (If only i physically had your system, would be

Sorry, there is no option available to set it to default.
But the next best thing, and one that i use, is a script.
You have the icon in the toolbar, you select everything on the timeline
when you are done editing, then hit the icon…. Done!You can get it here:

Its nothing complex nor anything to be confused about, in your
project properties you can let the field order remain as
None (progressive scan).
The solution that really makes a difference for better renders,

I think there is already a perfect working script for that.
Then again im no script expert, and explanation is not

listen to their core users any at all when a serious issue needs
