Sorry I posted this too soon. You can select the audio device from after effects preferences… Should’ve known. Maybe this will help someone else someday! 🙂

They were self contained QTs, but I didn’t export the audio separately. I’ll try your suggestion, thanks. Whats the reason behind having to do the audio separately? Any idea?

file size isn’t too much of an issue, would an uncompressed AVI be better? or at least better than a hi quality WMV? My WMV files are 14MB and 32MB and are 4 minutes long, i’m maxing out the bit rate at 10000 kb/s and set it to 100 quality.

Sorry to waste your time…you’re right I didn’t need it deinterlaced, my AE import settings for seperating fields was just turned off.
I will suggest the animation codec though, b/c the video quality is still an issue, I think hes using sorenson.
