I have the same issue except my video was shot on a Sony HDRSR12E. I tried some experimenting, adding an LFE and re-importing and Vegas is clearly not importing the LFE channel although the original plays back on a PS3 fine.

I also can’t get Vegas to Render to an AVHCD for anything more than a few mins of footage which I think is the Quad processor issue – I was hanging on for the next release hoping it fixes that one.

It looks like I have two issues. The first is on speeding up clips which seems to be a firm bug in Vegas with a workaround to render a smaller section and then import into the main project – problem resolved.

The second issue I have appears to be Vegas not correctly importing M2ts files.

Basically I can render an M2ts file using the same parameters and when I then try to import into Vegas it only brings in one audio stream. I can render a small section of the project and it then imports fine. If I use the PS3 I can playback all files fine no problems.

I also tried a trailer that I had downloaded and Vegas just gets an error and closes. If any one has some time I would be interested to see if they also have that issue. The trailer was loacated here

I am sure that I have been able to import some of the files I am now having issues with before – but can’t be certain. I have reloaded Vegas and it does not make a difference I am on the current version 8.0b. any suggestions?

I have reported a similar issue – 4 topics below this one entitled ‘Rendering issues’ one of which is freezing when rendering speeded up clips. I am going to try your suggestion and see if that solves the other issue? Steve
