I want to extract a still from an HD film from Vegas Pro v8.0b. I have been using render image sequence and have a few issues;
1. The still is coming out as 480×270 which is my preview size
2. I get an error message of ‘insufficient step time’ if I try to use the default step time of 00:00:0;01 a step time of 00:00:0;02 works fine.My project is 1920x1080x32 25.000i
Can anyone help?

If it’s just one frame you want, use the “Save Snapshot to File” option.
The icon for this (looks like a floppy disc) is above the Preview window.
Make sure to set your Preview window to Best/Full before doing this. -
Render Image Sequence uses the resolution of your Preview window and the interlace method of your project. If you want deinterlaced images, set your project to progressive before using the script. Then as Mike said, set your preview to Best/Full and run the script.
