You might try exporting as DV AVI and using that in Encore, letting Encore do the transcoding.

I highly suggest upgrading to the Video Bundle and then get a free upgrade to CS3 later. That way you will have After Effects, Audition (not in the next version so get it now) and you will have Encore now instead of later. Throw in After Effects, Illustrator and Flash and you are kicking tail!

Please note that I didn’t buy monitors, so that would have added to the price considerably. But you can get two decent monitors for under $600.

The problem is that the current info is all based on a beta trial. During trials, the speed is often compromised due to diagnotic software code being left in the program until it gets to public beta.

Actually, I have done beta testing for a few different products and holding back info is terribly annoying at times. It would be easier to answer, but you don’t want to be blackballed from further testing.
Since there was some work done on multiple panes for the project panel, perhaps they might have fixed any memory leaks that might have shown up during the testing of that feature. We can hope.

How are you exporting from After Effects into Premiere Pro? DV AVI? Quicktime Animation Codec? What?
