Using NTSC footage you should export to WMV using 854X480 with square pixels.
However, perhaps he just needs DVD player software? There are many ways to achieve that. For free.

If you use After Effects, the advantages of using Premiere Pro and After Effects together with Dynamic Link are more than enough to make the decision, but you need the entire Production Premium in order to get Dynamic Link. also, After Effects plays very well with Encore.

Yes there is. It may not be obvious, but it is simple.
Find a font style in the Titler Styles that you like, right click on it and choose “Set Style as Default”.
Now, if none of them make you happy, you can make a title that you really like, using all of the font names, font size, fills, shadows, etc. Select the text and in the menu twirldown in the Titler Styles panel, you can “Add Style”. Then as before, make it the default.

All right, all right. I opened my wallet. If Andrew insists on putting out quality merchandise, I guess I just have to buy some of it! However, I feel obligated to mention that the bundle with Riot Gear and SoundFX together makes a lot more sense. If you buy splats, you need sounds that splat! Right?
I can accept that I am not as talented as Andrew, but he continues to rub it in. 😉
Hey Andrew! If there isn’t a tutorial or demo that shows the best sounds to go with each of the Riot Gear effects, you might consider such a thing. Or, maybe I will be forced to write that up once my package arrives? This is going to be tough. Exactly how does one avoid wasting huge numbers of hours playing with this stuff?

I suggest that you download the Elecard player. It is a free trial, but after the trial expires, I believe it might leave it’s codec behind. I ended up buying it because it made it possible to still use my DVD player software and yet be able to use Ultra CS3 for HDV.
For some reason my DVD player software’s codec was interfering with Ultra CS3.
