Exporting to file as highest resolution
I’ve created a 10 minute DVD in native 16:9, which plays perfectly on DVD players as well as my computer. It apparently won’t play well on the client’s laptop (which is what he intents to play from to a large gathering.) I’ve exported two more options (.avi &.wmv) but they still don’t look as good (and as large) as the dvd. PLEASE HELP in suggesting specifics. THANK YOU.

Using NTSC footage you should export to WMV using 854X480 with square pixels.
However, perhaps he just needs DVD player software? There are many ways to achieve that. For free.

THANK YOU! I’m currently rendering the export. While I’m waiting… Part of my confusion lies with the options shown in the Media Encoder, once I select Windows Media. So, I just left it as “custom” and changed the settings from 720 to 854 x 480. Square pixels was already chosen.
