Default Titler Font
Posted by James Orlowski on July 31, 2007 at 7:24 pmAny way to change the default titler font on my Premiere CS2 from the boring Microsoft Sans Serif to some other font that at least has a bold and italics associated with it?

July 31, 2007 at 8:00 pmYes there is. It may not be obvious, but it is simple.
Find a font style in the Titler Styles that you like, right click on it and choose “Set Style as Default”.
Now, if none of them make you happy, you can make a title that you really like, using all of the font names, font size, fills, shadows, etc. Select the text and in the menu twirldown in the Titler Styles panel, you can “Add Style”. Then as before, make it the default.
If you want some cool font styles, grab Tim Kolb’s Style Library off of my web site. A link and basic instructions are located at about the center of my Premiere Pro page. Just scroll down to find it:

I tried it, but my titler still defaults to Microsoft San Serif regardless of what style I “Set as default…”.

August 6, 2007 at 7:55 pmSorry guys. Can you put your favorite in the upper right so you can just get in the habit of clicking on it before typing?
Must be the AJA.
