A Pro or Broadcast monitor is good. It is also not a bad idea to have a cheapo crappy monitor as well. MOST people don’t have their monitors correctly calibrated, so if you can make it look good on a broadcast monitor AND Aunt Bertha’s TV, you are in good shape.

That’s a cool idea, and will look into it.
However I have different clients, and I’d like to have different “starter” projects for the different clients.
Currently (FCP 6), seems to start with a default project if I uncheck open last project in the prefs. I’d rather be prompted to open a specific project or have the option to open the program with nothing, and then select the one I want.Thanks

Didn’t try trashing the prefs, damn are we back to that? I used to have to do that with Premier way way back in the 4.5 days. Mylast edit system I hadto trash the prefs 4 times in 8 years.
Any way, the tapes were shot Non drop, oddly enough FCP recognized tapes two and three as NON drop, but thought clips on Tape 1 were drop frame. I had to go into clip modify,and set each clip to drop frame for clips on tape 1, unfortunately I had to do this on a clip by clip basis, and couldn’t group select the clips to do it.
