I briefly checked for missing files and did not see any. I then used Adobe Bridge to batch rename all of the files in sequence: 0001 through 0900. It did not fix the problem.
I do not know what is ment by looking for “OK” sized frames in the finder.

Here is a sample of the first name. Intro 2 180000.png
The last file name is Intro 2 180900I am using 3D MAX to create the file. It names them automatically, in sequence. I set the name of the file as: Intro 2 18.png. 3D MAX added 4 more digits for the sequence. Maybe I should not have used any spaces in the name?

It does not appear that Premiere will import the png file as a seqquence like AE does. Is Quicktime my best option for Premiere importing?

Thanks. I completely missed the format options. I was only looking in the compression part. I also tried a Quicktime file, but it was much larger. Is there a common or typical format used for overlays and lower thirds when they will be used in Premiere Pro?

This all makes sense. In the past, I have had Premiere projects take 12 hours to render. I would hate to see how long it would take to do the entire thing in AE.

The camera has no way to connect a VHS up to it. It has USB and Firewire. All official documentation says this model, Panasonic PV-GS150 does not support analog passthrough. The next step up has the capability. I may end up buying an analog caputre device.

I have some type of Ulead software that came with the camera. I will check to see if it does what I need. I have never looked at it since I have Premiere. Analog passthrough was something that I wanted when I bought a new camera last year. The camera came with passthrough, but does not support analog. I was dissapointed about that. I had planned to use the passthrough for converting the VHS tapes.
I did figure out how to increase the size of the conversion of the DVD to AVI.

Now I know to look for mask. Masking had crossed my mind, but it seemed as if there should be an easier way. The in program help had almost nothing on cropping. It helps to know the word to look for, thanks.

For some reason I could not get the mask to work. I will need to study that more. I did work around it by going back to Photoshop, and earasing the top part of the oval, and importing that as the new top layer.
