Have you looked at your battery?
I had a 2008 mbp model which started giving me non responsive track etc.
The battery cell pack had swelled and was shorting out under the keyboard.

There is a motu forum.
I have not used the HDX but have the MOTU V4HD ( firewire with FCP, so will not work with MC6, I have bought the aja express XT box))
There were (and) are still many bugs, it seems to take a long time to get things fixed ( if at all).
Support I found not very good.
Having said that Dave on the Motu forums, does answer quickly, just very little seems to get done, look at the forums and judge for yourself.

will this plugin also work with the new CS6?
I have just installed CS6 (I already have CS5.5 where all the BCC plugins are available) non in CS6!
If we have the complete BC AE8 (etc with plugins for Avid6, FCP& etc) will there be a charge for these new plugins?

I have some files shot this year ( they have correct 2012 dates.)
I have an event which I have called imaginitavely called “POV_HD 2012” into which I have imported the linked files.
(looking in the browser the event files are all 2012)However if I do an event Library sort by disc and group events by year this event appears under 2008
others I shot last week and imported into a new event (as linked files, again with the correct creation dates
eg “16 Apr 2012 16:22” ) show under 1999!can anyone explain this and offer a solution so my rushes are correctly sorted?

FCX 10.0.4 on MBP, event on RAID, files linked on Drobo backup (until I rough cut and consolidate)

On past upgrades a problem I had was that x decided that it did not like my referenced mp4 files ( from a POV.HD head cam.) QT was fine with them ( as was every other editing application I possessed including the old x and fcp7)
I started by just running clean drives to make sure that this version of x successfully ran.
I then connected drives and let fc do its thing. At this stage I got beach balls, errors and crash, which could be duplicated by apple support, after I had sent them a problematic file
Unfortunately i could do no more until the next update, when the files were recognised, other than convert the files outside of x and then import the converted pro-res files.
I did not want to do this as I did not want to duplicate all of my rushes files and bloat into prores.Steve

sorry to reply to myself but I have found the problem:
“The maximum number of files that can be created on a disc is 5,000 for single-layer discs, 6,000 for dual-layer discs, and 20,000 for quad-layer WO discs (including directories). The maximum number of clips that can be created on a disc is 300 for single-layer and dual-layer discs, and 1,200 for quad-layer WO discs. If this limit is reached, nothing more can be written to the disc, even if the disc still has free capacity remaining.”
I need to zip my picture files!

Did anyone solve this?
I have a new PDW-U2 with the latest software.
I formatted a disk and got the correct file structure for XDCAM but I am also unable to store more than the 9GB into the user data area despite my mbp reporting that there is 13Gb ish free!

As the others have said there are many ways to move things around in avid.
One I use a lot is to mark the section required, and select the tracks you want to move on the left hand track selectors, ( they will be in the highlight colour, which used to be pink, now its a blue not that different to the timeline, I change this in the interface setting to something I can easily see)
then alt-copy, or alt-lift, this will put your “sub-sequence” into the source window, beware if you now select a new source clip you can loose it.
Drag the sub-sequence to a bin if you may need it again.You can then insert or overwrite into the timeline where and onto which tracks you want.

I have the 17″ i7 mbp 8GB (crucial upgrade) before last ( early 2011 with thunderbolt) and it is much faster than my older 2008 mbp.
I am still on 10.7.2 ( as 10.7.3 is not qualified within AVID MC6.0.1)I am playing H264 off a drobo (FW800), and HiRes video off an esata raid (express34 connected) and various firewire drives (400 and 800) without any problems, both in QT, FCP7, FCPX and MC6.
How is your drive connected? Do you have other software running? ( time machine, spotlight, backups?)
Have you tried 10.7.2?Any more details?

After match framing you are selecting the source window before going to the clip pull down window?
Note here, you can also select the type of freeze if you have interlaced material.You can also add a zero speed time warp effect, at a given point.
This is good if you are trying freezes at different places on your clip.
