Can anyone confirm that their SxS xdcam ex hd422 imports into fcp7 1080i50 without any ” problems” using a Mbp?

    Thanks Steve

Thanks for your reply, as I said the vision problem was also on a broadcast monitor in 100% play.
( this was in a broadcast facility, Mac Pro and kona card) monitored on two broadcast monitors.
The canvas frame at 100% also had the problem as expected.
The problem is not straight interlace field order problem, but horizontal line tearing on edges on movement
It is the first time the production has used SxS xdcam ex hd422. In the past we have used xdcam ex 35 MBA VBr that is why I was asking, something seems to have gone wrong between the SxS card and the FCP .mov.

9 Feb 2012 – This isn’t quite as elegant as the FCP solution, for several reasons, but …. to make an all-in-one solution with the Lemur app, but it’s expensive …

Why I suggested an Internet search rob has an ipad mixer for FCP and avid

    Thanks for the quick reply.
I have now finished the job and not at the machine but the work flow will be similar in December
The .mov files in the browser did have the field order set as upper.( isn’t upper odd)

    Thanks Steve

What input are you using for your mike onto your iMac?

Dare I say “me too” Bob

Looks like there may be a problem or we have both done something bad?

  • I have a similar problem with a hdcam m2000 deck

I am tape editing ( yes some people still do) using a bve2000 as controller

The m2000 always edits 1 frame late ( a edit synchronised at 10:00:00:00 edits at 10:00:00.01) on the in and out (in accurate sync mode)

The machine constants are correct ( although changes do not effect the edit point)

    Any suggestions?
