    The DSR-45A is a new version!

    Bottom line, DSR-11 is what you want. Just remember, it does not convert PAL>NTSC. That you will need Nattress Plug-in (excellent plug-in Recommended Buy! You can’t beat the price on ALL his plug-ins) or use Compressor.

    DSR-45A is NTSC ONLY
    DSR-45AP is PAL ONLY

    The DSR-11 does PAL and NTSC

    Do any of the other 55mm plug ins work? What are your system specs? What version of 55mm do you have? Is it licenced? version 5 and 6 do not have create Matte option.

    There are many improvements in 5.1.2. If I were you, I would make the move. You will have no problems.
    Rumor has it, the price of the crossgrade is going to change sometime soon.

    I don’t know if you tried this, but recapture the tapes from the camera it was aquired on.
