You do not need to uninstall. FCS 2 overwrites the original files.I would suggest cloning your hard drive before you upgrade. I would order a couple of HD’s online. Fry’s and Zip Zoom Fly always have specials on HD’s.

Install all your extra files form LT, STP and Motion on an external drive to save drive space on your laptop. Otherwise, move the files from your music, movie, picture and download folders to an external or DVD. I’ll bet you have GB’s of files there.

Don’t Rush. If you are, wait till you have time.

There is no BEST. All have there unique features.

CGM, CHV, Magic Bullet, FX Factory, Nattress and many free ones out there.

Don’t overlook what Digital Juice has to offer.

You will need to reimport your photos into FCE and the time will update to the new time.

They will default to 2 sec. because that is what the pref was set at.

If they are in the timeline, you can select them all and hit duration and change them all at once.

They will absolutely work! Always a good idea to have a thumb drive with layout and buttons. If you have favorite Effects, that doesn’t hurt either.

FCP 6 did add a few new keyboard options.

Wait till you find out how long it will take to convert your HDV timeline to Apple TV format! You’ll need a separate computer system for that.

Blu-Ray DVD burners will come way down in price this year and you might see an HD-DVD burner by the end of the year.

just as long as you log and capture as DV, and export the files as DV, you will not lose any quality.
