    You will have a very hard time with FCP 7 with this project. There is no easy way. Avid Media Composer and Premiere Pro can handle this a lot better.

    Lesson to learn: ALWAYS bring a reference monitor with you. ALWAYS use a reference monitor (not computer monitor) to view your footage when editing.

    There is no native transition like this in FCP. Look into Noise Industries FXFactory Pro. You can also play around with your composite modes to recreate it yourself.
