Have not created a nested project before, so this is what you are saying. Open a new project in Vegas, go to explorer pane and find wedding veg, and drag it to timeline? Isn’t it going to just look for all the files (same as original project) and place the project on the timeline looking just as it does in the saved project?

So what you are saying is start from scratch? I captured with Scenalyzer 4, (which captures in avi). So, go back to the avi file, cut out what I want in Vegas, then go through all the syncing and multicam camera settings, etc again? I hope there is an easier way, cause this will put me back at starting fresh.

So for the AC-3 setting, it is 192kbs (Dolby 1)?

I use Vegas 8 Pro, and usually render there to mpeg2 (using the NTSC DVD template, not the Architect stream setting). Then I import those videos into Adobe Encore, and author the video there. So, am I doing this the correct way, and if I go custom template, do I use a CBR or VBR, and if I use VBR, am I better to choose the average setting?

I am seeing it in the prieview window at Best quality setting, on a 19″monitor. Just thinking, if I can see it on a 19″ monitor, how noticable is it going to be on something like a 37″ or above tv?

I have Soundbooth CS3. Does that apply to CS3 the same? The onyl problem, is I am creating a new avi with sound right, or at least changing the original one? When I select the audio track in Vegas, and go to SB, it drags the whole video/audio clip. Am I going to have to replace the clip in Vegas with the one I change in SB. Does changing it in SB, change it on the Vegas timeline w/o having to replace the clip with the new one the SB creates?

    Norman,
You can also use Virtual Dub, and Deshaker as a stand alone set. It’s just nice to have it as a script in Vegas. I have both Vegas 6.0 on one computer, and just installed the Deshaker for Vegas 8 Pro on the other computer. For some reason it goes all the way through the process, and tells me it can’t find the file. Wierd! I have used it before with some success, but I didn’t play with all the settings, just the basic ones. I am curious about the difference between this and Mercalli also. Let me know if you try it. I need it for the jitter while walking. I do some Wedding Videography, and I had a stroke, so I have a little limp. Just enough to make it a little jumpy if I am walking. If anyone else reads this thread, please help me figure this out, as I have a wedding coming up in about 3 weeks, and need to get this problem solved.

Not sure how to. I am not sure if it will create the same effects as using AE. Line the following project: https://www.aeprojects.com/after-effects-templates/reflections-template/prod_19.html

Thanks Steve, that is a slick little piece of software. I just used it and transfered some of the footage where it was dropping frames with Vegas, and didn’t drop a one with the WinDv. But I would still like to know what is going on.
