I installed the New Deshaker/Virtual Dub for Vegas 8 Pro to default areas, but when I go to use on a video, it goes all the way through the process of deshaking, and when it’s through it says:
” Despite planning for all possible contingencies Deshaker Script had the following error: “The system cannot find the path specified”
What is going on? It did this on my other computer also, that is running Vegas 6.0.

    Hi Steve.
    What de-shaker?
There is a de-shaker for Vegas?
    Thank you,
    Norman

    Hi Mike.

Thanks! I will try to download it soon, and check it out.

I do not want to hijack this thread, but is it fair to ask how the New Deshaker compares to ProDad Mercalli? Or is the answer simply to download them both, and check them out?

I just need the best de-shaking possible, because I will be working with a lot of footage that gets sent to me by tourists on foot who have no idea the value of a tripod.

    Thanks again!

    Norman,
You can also use Virtual Dub, and Deshaker as a stand alone set. It’s just nice to have it as a script in Vegas. I have both Vegas 6.0 on one computer, and just installed the Deshaker for Vegas 8 Pro on the other computer. For some reason it goes all the way through the process, and tells me it can’t find the file. Wierd! I have used it before with some success, but I didn’t play with all the settings, just the basic ones. I am curious about the difference between this and Mercalli also. Let me know if you try it. I need it for the jitter while walking. I do some Wedding Videography, and I had a stroke, so I have a little limp. Just enough to make it a little jumpy if I am walking. If anyone else reads this thread, please help me figure this out, as I have a wedding coming up in about 3 weeks, and need to get this problem solved.

    Thanks, Steve.

I’m a little plowed under at the moment, but I hope to get time to check it and Mercalli out soon.

Best of success with that file.
