I hate you.
But seriously…
I’d first rethink your camera style. Just on the surface it seems that you might be better off with an ENG style camera rather than a cinematic style – mainly for the ease of being able to pull it out of the case and start shooting with absolutely no setup. If I’m wrong, and your shooting lends to a camera that requires some initial prep to prepare for shooting, then by all means, stick with the cinematic camera such as the C100 of the AF100.

One of the problems you’re probably having is that you are trying to make AE key out a large area of the poorly lit green BG. Even if you’ve applied a garbage matte already, you still may be asking a lot of the Keylight effect.
My first attempt at a fix would be to apply the venerable ‘Creating Super Tight Junk Mattes’ technique found here…
https://library.creativecow.net/articles/rabinowitz_aharon/junk_mattes.php
This techniques creates a junk or garbage matte that is 25 pixels away from your foreground subject, leaving Keylight to only have to key out a 25 pixel wide green band.

Go to the Effects Control Panel for the Timecode effect and you’ll see various setting to allow the Timecode effect to match the sequence setting. You probably need to change the ‘Drop frame’ / ‘Non-drop frame’ setting.

July 15, 2013 at 7:34 pm in reply to: PLEASE…can anyone solve??!!! Lost files on recordable DVDWe’ve successfully used IsoBuster to recover files from DVD’s before, but I just noticed that they don’t have a Mac version. You might want to search for data recovery utilities for Mac. There are loads of them available for Windows, so there probably are for Macs as well.

[Chris Tompkins] “Is there real harm in this?”
I guess that’s what I’m really asking. Is it more of a drag on resources to have 20 extra minutes of clips on a timeline?

Still haven’t heard from Adobe Support. I’m afraid that their previously good quality of support has gone the way of the norm.

[Shane Ross] ” In Avid, you can consolidate only the clips used in the cut, with handles”
The same can be done in Premiere’s Project Manager.
