Any idea what the video is? I can’t imagine it came from a camera – more likely to be a proprietary format from a gaming system or something.

They may be from ArcSoft’s PhotoStudio program. I know that they also use the ‘psf’ extension.

The usual method is to place your playhead at the head of a clip in the timeline, hit ‘F’ to load that clip at that frame into the Source Monitor. Set an ‘In’ point in the Source Monitor. Repeat for the tail of the clip in the timeline, then drag audio only down from the Source Monitor to the timeline.

The GPU ACCELERATION option is available only if you have a graphics card that is supported by that feature. If your graphics card isn’t one of the supported cards, you can only use the SOFTWARE ONLY option. Being able to use the GPU ACCELERATION option will greatly increase the speed in which rendering takes place, so it might me worth it to invest in a supported card.

But seriously, you’d need to also use After Effects along with some plug-ins such as Boris Continuum and/or Genarts Sapphire or maybe others. So no, not all are really possible directly in Premiere Pro, but with Dynamic Link between the two it would be much easier than those effects were in the 60’s.

Save yourself some effort, and first try keying in PPro with it’s Ultra Key effect. We find that we only have to use Keylight in AE when we have specific problem footage. This way, if the clips are similar to each other, all you need to do is save the Ultra Key parameters as a preset and drag that preset onto similar clips, and they’re keyed!
