Because of recent personal experience, I’d first ask whether or not you have used Magic Bullet Looks on any of the clips.

A bit dated, but still very pertinent.

MTS files are AVCHD files from specific cameras. We play them with VLC Media Player, which has a Mac version.

Have you looked at VidBlaster? I have their Home version, and it’s really nice. I tend to use Wirecast more often because of it’s audio integration. With VidBlaster, you have to have a separate audio workflow.

You state that you bought ‘Premiere Pro CC’, and not specifically ‘Premiere Pro CC 2014’. Effects Masking was not available in ‘Premiere Pro CC’. It was just introduced in ‘Premiere Pro CC 2014’ (actually Version 8.0.0). Since you can still download and install both versions, I’d check and make sure you have 2014 installed, else you wont see the added controls.

A Panasonic HMC-150.
However, I actually do have a Canon T3i that will shoot 25fps. Not sure if it has the kind of shutter control to prevent 60MHz flicker, which is their main concern.
But actually, I’ve just heard from a friend in Germany that says he’s sent 24fps footage all the time from shoots in the US, and it works fine.
