November 26, 2011 at 12:55 am in reply to: Voiceover on my source footage disappears when I renderI can’t remember exactly offhand, but I think I ended up have to re-export the file using QT Pro with the correct (stereo) audio format.

November 26, 2011 at 12:03 am in reply to: Voiceover on my source footage disappears when I renderThat is weird. The only time I’ve had similar issues is when the audio was actually in surround.

Also give “Hard colour” a try under “Replace method”. Sometimes that helps in my experience.
What’s your source footage? Could just be the quality of the footage making it hard to get a decent key.

You’re keying out the green screen so it can be placed on a green background?
I would put your screen gain back to 100, and try adjusting the clip black/white levels (usually start around 10/90 and go from there). You could also try to adjust the screen shrink/grow to a negative number to reduce the fringing, and a screen pre-blur of 1 to 3 pixels might help a bit, too.

November 18, 2011 at 2:14 pm in reply to: CC Particle World 3D Stroke low to high resolution issueThis is a small render demonstrating what I’m talking about, with a graphic to try to explain the setup a bit better. I used Partlcular, but you may be able to find workarounds to use CC Particle World – I just don’t have time right now to play with it.
Hope it helps somewhat.
Cheers

November 18, 2011 at 1:19 pm in reply to: CC Particle World 3D Stroke low to high resolution issueHmm, thinking about it that Illustrator thing wouldn’t really work in AE (I was thinking in Cinema 4D “3D mode”, I think).
With CC Particle World it’s a bit trickier to parent the emitter to a null, because it uses arbitrary values for position that don’t relate to actual comp size. There is a workaround with some basic expressions – do a search on Video Copilot’s site, I think they have one covering this.
What I meant by the radius of the spiral: if you position your emitter null a distance away from another 3D (controller) null and parent the two, you can rotate the controller null, which makes the emitter describe a circle. If you move the controller null at the same time as it’s rotating, you’ll get the spiral effect you’re after.
There is a great tutorial on this technique, but I can’t remember for the life of me where I saw it now… Not much help, I know.
I do know that using Trapcode Particular makes it easier for this kind of thing. Not as easy with Particle World.

I guess I’m not really understanding what you’re trying to achieve. You’ve tracked the text, done your roto.
You want to make the text blend better so it looks like it’s part of the scene? Try playing with some different blending modes on the text (on your text layer there’s a drop-down with blending modes, Add, Screen, Multiply, etc.). If you don’t see it, you may need to toggle (F4) it on.
Other than that, you could play with some colour correction, use some levels/curves/hue and saturation to get the look you want.

I think I see what you’re getting at now – you want to track the text into the footage? Like Chris said, you need to track the footage and apply the tracking data to the text layer, then do a bit of roto I guess. There are lots of tutorials online for tracking (3D and 2D)
