Just to make sure there is not confusion. Video is NOT 72 DPI. See page 1193 in Chapter 70 of the FCP manual.
If you have a photo that is 300 dpi and you change the Resolution to 72 dpi in Photoshop the pixel dimensions shrink. Since your photo doesn’t need to be 72 dpi you don’t need to worry about that.

Okay, so the text that says,”Exhibit at 100% design” is done with a Composite Mode.
Track 1 has your white text
Track 2 has your video. Theirs looks like a jump back or car driving down the street or something.Right click on Track 2 and choose Composite Mode, Travel Matte – Luma
The text will then take on what ever is in Track 2.

2. So… can I just ignore the dpi as it is just a print thing
Correct.
3. I am worried that my SD PAL film will not look great on a large TV
SD will always look bad compared to HD. When I export out of FCP I like to do the following: File, Export, Quicktime Movie…
Make sure it is set to “Current Settings” that way you will keep everything the same. Make sure Make Movie Self-Contained is checked. Then import the movie file into compressor. Compressor has some default settings for DVDs that I recommend. Then import into DVD studio pro and make a DVD.Hope this helps and best of luck.

For the corporate videos I have worked on YouTube is just another way to get people to see the video. However we are defiantly making a lot less DVDs since it is easier and cheaper to “distribute” the product over the web. What I think has changed corporate video is the drop in equipment price to make them. For us this is a good thing. For example, the drop in Color Grading software prices have made our images look much better and has allowed me to do thing that I could have never done 5 years ago. As the years go by I feel my projects just look better then the previous ones. I’m excited about what YouTube has to offer and I’m glad they changed how YouTube channels look in March. I’m really enjoying our Corporate YouTube Channel.
