Seriously, for this project I would stick with AE 6.5. To do this in AE create a Solid. Go to Effects, Text , Numbers. Hit OK so the numbers appear in your comp. Change Decimal Places to 0. Create a key frame for the “Value/Offset/Random Max”. Move the play head 2.5 minutes down the timeline and crank the “Value/Offset/Random Max up to 25250. Create another layer and add the comma yourself when it should appear in the animation. And it will look fantastic, I just did this a month ago.

The fact that Motion can show you results in real time is amazing. When you start doing more complicated stuff it can become to much for any computer. The easiest work around is to RAM Preview your project when you reach that point. Go up to Mark – RAM Preview and select an option. Hope this helps.

[John] Isn’t this just a mess of keyed clips that are all scaling the same amount at the same speed but offset, each new clip on top of the other?
Don’t forget that a lot of the clips our utilizing luma mattes or masks to stay in the white stripe. They also used luma mattes or “shapes” to create a nice reflection of the images.

Use the “Float.HD” template in the “3D Text Projects” template Folder. Change the camera move and add more video boxes and you’re in business. Hope this helps.

Sure, whether your using pyro particles or the flames in the Template Media folder I think the easiest way to turn the flame slowly blue would be to add a Tint filter and animate the “intensity” of the filter. Hope this helps.
