To shoot slow mo you will have to do 720. We have done it a lot and speaking as an editor you’ll be fine with 720 even though it isn’t 1080.
I don’t see a problem with switching from stills to video. It doesn’t take a lot to rotate the dial. On my T2i I can take a photo while recording video. It of course ruins your video which is why I would just stop recording and rotate the dial.

Dynamic link is the way to go but be for warned that you’ll most likely have to render the AE project files in your timeline in order to watch your video.
I typically try to get the video approved before I do any color grading. That doesn’t guarantee that you won’t have to make changes but it reduces the amount.

You can take all of your photos and line them up the way you like. Then parent them to a Null object and change the position on the Null object. Then they will all move at the same speed and only one set of keyframes.

I would try the Services tab a the top of this page. It is a great place to find talent. Personally I would be looking for the best talent not a user of DJ subscriptions. Any talented creative could sign up for it today and get access to what ever you want them to use, but good talent isn’t something everyone can be.
