Sorry, forgot one step. Add a Levels filter to the “demogram” layer that has become the shadow. In the Filters tab you will have a gradient from black to white. With a triangle on the black side and another triangle on the white. Move the White triangle all the way to the black one and it will make your drop shadow black.

In the Demographic Crowd locate the demogram layer. Its name may have been changed. Anyways, it is the layer that is the Particle Source. It will be disabled. Create a new group and put it in the group. Enable it so you can see it. Duplicate the layer and then change its X rotation so it is on the floor. You may wan to to mess with the Y rotation as well. Make sure it lines up with the bottom of the layer by moving its position. It will look like a very hard drop shadow. Feel free to drop it’s opacity and add a Gaussian Blur.
Next, select the Emitter and select the Emitter tab. Scroll to the bottom and you will see a particle source well. Drag the new group into the well and every icon has a drop shadow. Hope I made enough sense. Best of luck and hope this helps.

I’ve found that the best way to go from one screen size or frame rate to another it to: Open up your 4:3 project. Then create a new 4:3 anamorphic project file. Make sure the project pane or timing pane is open on both projects. Move one project over so you can see both. Drag your group or groups from the 4:3 project over to the 4:3 anamorphic project and Motion will adjust everything for you. Best of luck.

I can’t remember the AE Wiggle feature but I would check out the Wriggle behavior. It will move your object around to random places. Go to Add Behavior, Parameter, Wriggle. Then you have to set the behavior to a parameter such as position. Hope this is the wiggle you are talking about. If not let me know.

The nice thing about a training DVD is that it will build you a foundation and then build on it. Take a look at my Moving with Motion Training DVD commercial. I think it is a great product and has gotten great reviews. However, I’m biassed.
