You need to have your clip in the timeline / project pane twice. One to track and then one to apply the bulge to. It you have only one clip in your timeline then you will not get a “Source” box. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Perfect!

Now if Zaxwerks could come up with a way so its layers would act in 3D space, instead of being effected by layer order. meaning, if an object in Motion was in front of a object in Zaxwerks and you rotate around the two objects the Motion object will be in front of the Zaxwerks layer. Once rotated 180 degrees the motion object appears in front again. Not sure if I’m making any sense.

If you like the film look then you will want to go with 23.98 fps (24). Film is Progressive.

A Project Properties preset you might like is: XDCAM HD422 1080p24

It is 23.98 and 1920 x 1080

i stands for Interlaced. That is because if you shoot 30 interlaced frames per second then you get 60 fields.

When exporting out the video from Motion make sure it is set to Best. Motion defaults to Normal. That will sharpen up your text if it is not sharp.

Create a new project with your SD settings. Drag the group/groups (put all of the groups in one group to make your life easy if it is not already that way) from the HD template into the SD’s time line or project pane and Motion will convert the template to the new size and frame rate. You will need to adjust the size of the group/groups so it is best to get everything in the HD template into one group. Hope this helps and best of luck.
