I agree with Mark. Typically a Color Grading, motion graphics or special effects reel is a montage of work to cool music so you can show a lot of work in a short amount of time.

I prefer editing reels that show parts of a project so I can get a real good feel for pacing, style, and Etc.. I think if you do more then editing then it is good to have multiple reels so you can showcase your different skill sets.

Oh, I see…in this case I think it would be easiest to do the whole thing in Motion and then export it out. Take a break or go to sleep while it works its magic.

Let me refine my answer: If you want your footage to play in slow motion, then yes you need to conform it in Cinema Tools. Unless you have a plug-in such as G Map Frames from Nattress. When recorded at 60 fields you can conform it 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97 or 30 fps. It will in a nutshell double the length of the clip so it will play in slow motion. For me personally, the only time I’ve shot at 60 was to get a slow mo look. If you drop say a 59.97 clip into a 29.97 timeline the 59.97 clip will play at normal speed and look like all of your 29.97 footage. If you conform it in Cineam tools to 29.97 and then drop it into the 29.97 timeline it will play in slow motion. So depending on the look you are after you may need to use Cinema Tool. Best of luck.
