1. Open Quicktime Pro 7 and choose Open Image Sequence
2. Open the folder where you have saved your source files from your DSLR and click on the first image. Click open.
3. Choose the frame rate you want to use to create the video.
4. The first image should open. Go to File>Save As and pick a destination for your final product. Set the codec to ProRes 4444 and make sure the alpha is set to + or to Animation set to Millions color plus.You can also Nest your psd clips and then you can move them around as one clip. If you have not nested before check out this Final Cut Pro Quick Tips tutorial.

DVCPRO HD squeezes the image when recording it and then stretches it out when it gets into the NLE. Think of it like Anamorphic. So 1440 x 1080 is really 1920 x 1080 in a nutshell. This shouldn’t be a problem unless you are seeing distortion and you images are squeezed or something.

Go to Edit, Project Properties. Click on your Pixel Aspect Ratio option. Choose Pal D1/DV Anamorphic.

Thank goodness you will only cut out my tongue. That way I still have fingers to grab the free pens at NAB. Non-stop had the best pens last year.

Here are two approaches:
1-Shoot yourself playing the piano and duplicate the clip. rotoscope yourselef so the top layer is just you and the bottom is the whole clip. Then you can make the light streak go behind you.
2-Shoot yourself in front of a green screen and key out the green, then add the background. Then you can make the light streak go behind you.
