Thanks for getting back to me Mike.

I never thought of that. The thing is I had a video transfer device by Pinnacle, and it did the same tape just fine… so I’m left scratching my head. Unfortunately I no longer have my Pinnacle device.

    What do you thing??

LOL Head scratcher… more like head slammer… mine up against a bick wall. I just tried some of my DVD’s, and it occurred to me, I was thinking of my old computer, it had the software, this one doesn’t.

Thanks again Jeff, your patience with this bumbling idiot is astounding =] !!

    Thanks, Jeff.

That’s a head scratcher.. you’d think that since you can play most DVD’s on your computer why does stuff from Encore need a special add-on?

Why deinterlacing? Eveyrone I’ve talked to says that when converting video to DV / DVD / progressive scan, to deinterlace and make the upper and lower fields into one frame. My understanding is that it will play more smoothly and look cleaner on DVD when played on a TV. And this is especially crucial when converting video to HDV or Blue Ray disk.

    What’s your take??

Hey Dave! Thanks for getting back to me. I’m using a Canopus ADVC300 video transfer device, and yes, i capture it in Premier. I take it over to AE for the deinterlacing, noise removal and color correction. I am using the Magic Bullets: Frames from Red Giant for the deinterlacing (it works really good too).

How much of this can I do in Premier??

    Thanks agin…

Thank for getting back to me Adam!

I’ve tried Camtasia, but it turns out, like a said, looking like a bad stop motion movie. What settings does he use to get a nice and smooth, non-choppy recording??

    Thanks again! =]
