The image you sent shows that you have Vegas running three times. At least Windows thinks so. Try killing all but the first, starting at the bottom.

I have looked at Vimeo on Demand – is this your first project using VOD?. For the kind of money you are spending on the Vimeo Pro account, I would think that you wouldn’t have to advertise for them on the movie’s page.

Using all defaults in Vegas makes for a 70-minute DVD. Anything longer requires that you use a lower than default bitrate to make your MPEG file.

I have never made a DVD directly from the Vegas Timeline. Go to the “Render As” menu and make your MPEG2 and AC3 files from there. When encoding the MPEG2 file, open the “Customize Template” option and lower your maximum bitrate.

You can find a bitrate calculator on the web. I use “Marks Bitrate Calculator”.

When you have the MPEG2 and AC3 files, drag the MPG file to your DVDA Project Overview window.

I would keep the Ram disk. After you have 8Gb or more of system RAM, then Vegas really doesn’t benefit much from the additional. If you do your projects on the Ramdisk, I’ll bet that you get some blazing fast renders.

You only need a lot of Preview Ram if you are doing Shift-B previews.

I’ve never tried it, but how would the client view it? My Sony HDTV has a USB port but it is only for viewing photos from a camera. If he plans to view it on the PC, you might want to provide a lower bitrate MP4 file because USB sticks may not be able to deliver HD speed.
