I am having difficulty imaging your problem in my mind. If you encode for web, does the problem still appear or is it only in preview?

Thanks for the advice.
I plan to make this camera a permanent fixture in the studio, so capture would be to a desktop PC. It would be nice to capture to a laptop because it’s quiet, but as you note, no one makes a laptop with USB3 ports yet. Besides, that would be a significant expense for a simple use. It may be cheaper to build a capture box with water-cooling and a low-end i7 or i5 CPU.Steve Mann

To add to what John said, Network Rendering was needed when the top of the line PC was a 486 running at 300 MHz. It’s an anachronism today when a 3GHz Quad Core will finish a render faster than it would take to get a network render started. And it only worked with renders, never with encoded formats, which is what almost everyone is using today.

Does it always crash at the same point, or is it “approximate”?
