Hey,
i fight a little with the translation…why are you using the “A” Ancor-point and not the “P” Position?
The way you discribed the things you do sounds ok.
Don´t use the 3D mode, ist overkill for this task.
(more tweeking & more rendertime)I would do this:
(in sort form)Import
Make each image a PreComp
Import the PreComps in one “Main”-Comp
Make the Order i need them to be, from top to bottom.
Set the PreComps-Duration to (whatever you need) 4-6 sec.
Trim them there.
(They are still ALL under eachother in the Layers-Panel!!)
Select them all.
Hit “T” for Opacity. (ALL SELECTED)
Make Keyframes from 100 to 0 in 10 oder 15 frames Duration.
(Keyframes should be set on EACH layer!)
Then go to : ANIMATION / Keyframe-Asisstent / SequenzLayers
Set the Overlap to whatever you chose on the Opacity.
Then go trou the video and set the Porition and Scale Kreyframe as every image need´s it.Maybe i would “Easy-Ease” (Select a Keyframe & “F9” it) but it would dipend on – if it´s needed or not.
So, i hope that helps;)

hey,
2 way´s (maybe more.. but i got 2 for you)
1:
make a null set the marker on the null, copy it.2:
set the marker in the timeline.
drag the nested comp NEW (not alt-drag!) in the work-comp.greetz

I realy try to help, keep it in mind!
if you build this for a commercial, and your new to “it” (AE? Video? Commercials?) and you need a tutorial for this (simple stuff), you should maybe have enought TIME to learn and not be an a deadline somewere near!
or you should get someone that helps you – but i don´t see it in forum post´s. get someone who shows you the stuff you need in real life! Background:
Ad a solid, color it.
Ad some grafik stuff, ad blur, ad movemend.
Ad a new solid, other color, mask it, feather the mask.Sounds simple…
all the best!

Hey there,
like allways, there are differend ways to make FX. Some are good some are “not so good”.
First FX:
I would try to track the tip of the sword.
Parrent a little Masked-Solid to it.
PreCompose
Add a adjustmend layer, with an Echo effect.
Play a little with the settings and look at it.Second FX:
I would be aware of this FX bevore shooting a video.
Put the aktor in front of a little green screen.
Let him/her perform.
Key him/her out in post.
Trace the siluet.
(Don´t know the correkt englisch word for PAUSSTIFT – it´s found unter LAYER / and then down the menue, just over PreCompose)
Use the new layer with – Displacement, vector-blur…
Change the overlay mode to add or multiply.i´m aware that this is just a rought way, but, you didn´t even told us what your footage looks like… so this is the route – finde the way home by your self – good luck!

shure it depends on how you work – i have my mouse set to travel the whole screen by a swipe in the wrist.using the tablet is different, up-left is up-left on the tablet, down-right is down-right… your arm will move more, but i think thats a good thing.
working precise ist not a problem!
zoom in if needet.
time will make you faster.
find your way, it´s a process to get use to a tablet.i work all day on the computer, there is not one time i regret getting the tablet.
it will have a positiv effekt in your arm, by the more-up-position of the wrisk.GO FOR IT!

i did it the other way arround – i added a number in front of the presets (in my case the “17fx” becouse my bussines runs under a 17 and everybody needs to get aware of the number… muahahah –> just kiddin)
SO: if i type a 17 in the FX-Search window, i get all my presets
hope that helps

i have the BamBoo (Wacom) on a 27″ (2560×1440), together with the mighty-mouse and a shuttleProV2.
the BamBoo is the coice for me, becouse you could use it with your finders too! with is cool for running up and down the layers oder down the timeline!

hey,
go to the projekt-window, right-click the reimported video, interpret footage, look at the alhpa settings, play with them…hope that helps
(becouse i am german i´m not shure about the translation… just in case you are wondering..) -
hey,
and you are shure there is no alpha in the final render?
did you reimported the video back in AE and checked it?i am thinking, maybe the edit-software just can´t read the alpha..
