You can create a default event for each project and hide the events list away. Then it’s almost exactly like FCP7.

Regarding the dropbox problem: You can simply add a symlink inside your dropbox folder referencing your FCPX project folder.

Exactly. All hail the new Position tool. And before someone screems “THIS ONLY WORKS ON THE PRIMARY STORYLINE” just select a connected clip, press CMD+G and voila, you can now use all editing tools on the connected storyline you have just created.

The new Timeline is really awesome. The lack of important features, though, still sucks 🙁

Oh, and to disable the swapping behaviour when dragging clips around the timeline, use P. Its really all in the manual.

    Well, no.

But 3 point editing still works. W, E, D hotkeys are quite handy too. And I think one needs to get used to the new Q hotkey to connect clips.

    Hello,

    I’m interested in Desert Pro(perty) X.

Please clarify a few questions about your product:
    1) Will Desert Pro X let me export my crops using any vehicle, or am I restricted to a bobby car?
    2) Will the Desert be usable by people with absolutely no experience in agriculture, eg my grandma?
    3) Will the Desert be linked to my name so that I won’t be able to resell the desert if I decide not to use it anymore?
    4) Am I prohibited from using industry-standard methods to plant the desert with seeds?
    5) Am I prohibited from replanting growth from other deserts on my desert?

I love the new timeline. It’s awesome working with it once you’ve read the manual.

What I hate are the missing features, most importantly F**KING import of motion files.

    Hope they’ll agree.

The lack of support for motion makes this software completely unusable for me.

I cannot believe this. I spend and hour trying to import my motion files. I like the new workflow of FCPX but fail to comprehend the amount of stupidity on apple’s side required to forget the ability to import from motion.
