For all of you keen to rush out to invest your money in a product that delivers little now, but promises to be the way of the future, I have some beautiful desert property that will one day be as lush and green as any oasis you’ve ever seen.

Even now, if you simply close your eyes and dream, or, if you time your visit just right and get there right at magic hour, you’ll be able to envision exactly what I’m going to do with all this sand to turn it into a land of dreams.

For just $299 apiece, each and every one of you can own a piece of the dream; all you have to do is believe now, and it will all come true someday in the future.

BTW, please don’t ask when we’ll be making the desert dream come true, because there are “business law obligations” that prevent us from talking about timelines. You have to defer the revenue tied to the value of those promised features until the feature is delivered. It’s a pain to put a price tag on individual features, and we are NOT about delayed cash-flow.

    So, who’s in???

    David,
I don’t know how is the App Store Return policy, but I gonna ask my money back tomorrow.
This “stuff” is less controllable and customizable than never.
The only thing I’ve see improved is the VideoScope.
And what about the filters? Are they joking?
    Tomorrow I’ll reinstall FC7.

    Hello,

    I’m interested in Desert Pro(perty) X.

Please clarify a few questions about your product:
    1) Will Desert Pro X let me export my crops using any vehicle, or am I restricted to a bobby car?
    2) Will the Desert be usable by people with absolutely no experience in agriculture, eg my grandma?
    3) Will the Desert be linked to my name so that I won’t be able to resell the desert if I decide not to use it anymore?
    4) Am I prohibited from using industry-standard methods to plant the desert with seeds?
    5) Am I prohibited from replanting growth from other deserts on my desert?

I have a system, it has stuff in it, and stuff hooked to it. I have a camera, it can record stuff. I read the manuals, and know how to use this stuff and lots of other stuff too.
    You should be suitably impressed…

Questions are verboten. The future is based entire upon belief and faith-based capitalism. Now, show me the money.

    Change is inevitable Scott,

As our former Secretary of Defense once said, “There are knowns, and there are unknowns, and there are known unknowns and unknown unknowns. Apple is selling the later for $300 and getting people to buy a product on blind faith that doesn’t seem to do what we really need.

I don’t shell out money to buy unknowns. If Apple declares its hand and explains what they’re actually selling the public for $300, that might change my opinion. Until then, I’m waiting on the sidelines.

My gut feeling told me, it had to be ‘Donald Rumsfield’. Googled it & there it was! Never liked that joker, only he could make such statements.

Btw: David, are you telling me you have not bought a copy of FCP X today?

He wants to know about all kinds of things: ancient history, nineteenth-century mathematics, current manufacturing techniques, flower arranging, and hog futures. Because he never knows when these ideas might come together to form a new idea. It may happen six minutes later or six months, or six years down the road. But he has faith that it will happen.” — Carl Ally

    He is pretty slimy.

[Sohrab Sandhu] “David, are you telling me you have not bought a copy of FCP X today?

It won’t run on my current ATI graphics card and so I have not bought a copy. My good friend and cameraman has it up and running though.

And does this mean you’ll be making any revisions to that ‘seamless transition’ tutorial?

    Based on what I’m-a-hearing,
I would need a new GPU, several beers and a lot more positive endorsements before I go- a-transitioning…
