Create new Encore project. Title Button is not set.

Add menu from the Encore library. Now the title button is set to that menu.

If you create the new project and then add an asset (import as asset or import as timeline), the title button is still not set, and you get the warning.

What are you trying to set the remote to? From which project properties?

When you add a menu to a new project first, Encore sets the title remote, and you get no warning if it is not set.

If you ignore the warning, the users DVD player remote control may just not do anything when they press menu controls.

The set the title remote, do what I said above. I don’t know what problem Bob was having with it. I have not had a problem setting the remote functions.

  • One video per timeline is really the easy way. And there are problems when some types of videos/audio tracks are put on the same timeline.

You do not have to have any timelines open. And you can click on the timeline tab and select all timelines at once to add end action etc.

You created a DVD. XP (and most other?) WinOS does not provide a DVD decoder. If you must go to DVD, that is the problem. If you don’t have to go to DVD, you can create a flash export, then they play that like a web page.

    What were your transcode settings?

Do you have any ROM content?

[Nery Romero] “After finally finishing the transcoding I was hit with another problem.”

Does Encore error when building? Or did you look at the size and conclude it is too big? In either event, what is your calculation of the total size from the transcoded files?

Unrelated to whether there is in fact too much, problems with locating a layer break can be an issue if there are very long sections.

  • [Daniel Ludwig] “sorry to say that – but dissagree!”

Yes, I should have made the point that Encore has issues with looping. But the OP is not seeing gaps in some instances (which is itself interesting), and I was only responding to his primary question, which is whether there are reliable software emulators.

  • I don’t believe those gaps will ever test “correctly,” because they relate to disk mechanics, and do vary by hardware player.

For all other issues, I have found Total Media Theater 5 to be the truest to disk playback. I mount the iso with another program.
