Failing having soundtrack pro on hand, any other tools you suspect would work?

iTunes. Let us know if you need more info on how that works. OR – you could Export Audio to AIFF directly from your sequence, which gives a resampling options as well. Then just bring it back in. <

  • Cool – I had actually only used this a few times in the past to add a bunch of white flashes, when I did a quick test before posting it added audio dissolves as well. You may need to be sure the audio is linked in each clip, in which case it might end up being easier to do it manually 😉

    Worst case= Apple+T.

  • I don’t think you can do this without also adding a video transition en masse, so if that’s a problem, just set your default vid transition to 1 frame. Here’s what you do:

    1. Select everything in the timeline

    2. Drag up to the canvas and hold until Insert/Overwrite/Replace Etc. overlay menu pops up

    3. Drop it on Overwrite -> with Transition.

This should replace everything in your sequence with what you have set as the default transitions.

I don’t know if I explained that well but it’s a good technique to be aware of. Let us know how it works for you.

    Cheers,

yeah, guessing that’s what bit me. I’ve done some cursory research but the easiest fix seemed to be downloading Firefox 😉

  • whoa – that’s cool. Gonna have to play with that one!

I just DL’d it with a mess of other updates last night and am starting a new project this AM; so far so good, but Safari is totally destroyed, won’t launch at all.

    Hi Chris,

Not that I’d want to talk you in to using it, but round-tripping to STP really isn’t that bad or complex; and the result is just a new sequence in your current project with the addition of single mixed stereo track below your existing audio.

SO, play around with it when you get the chance; I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at what a sophisticated tool STP can be.

    Hi Rip,

You could filter this using some basic EQ but the real trick would be to send the track to Soundtrack, set the Noise Print, and then remove the noise with that tool. Here’s a tutorial:

I should ammend that folks like Tom are excellent instructors, make great products, and are probably one of the best resources out there!
