    Hi Rick,
I went in and made those adjustments but to no avail. I got into my Device Manager but can’t seem to tell which is my audio card. Can you tell me what I should be looking for? Also, as far as getting into the system and seeing where Vegas points to for an audio application, I’m a bit lost there as well. However, as I said in a post from this morning I do know that the audio card is “stock”.
    Thanks again,
    Sprague

Thanks Rick. Having come from LE6 this is a new system for me. I emailed the company that built this one and they told me that the audio card was stock, it was on board the tower when they got it. I’m not at the studio yet but will try doing what you suggested in your last email.
    Again, many thanks!

Hi Rick. Again, many thanks for this. Yup, I’m connected via a firewire. As for the sound card, I’ve left the studio for the day but will be there first thing tomorrow morning (EST) and try to get this info to you. In case I can’t find the sound card model right off the bat, I should look in Device Manager (Windows XP)?

    Hi Rick,
Many thanks for getting back to me on this. I was beginning to think I’d posted something incorrectly. No, when I drag a clip that was out of sync in “advance capture” onto the time line, it’s in sync. Which is a 50% relief. Any thoughts? Also, (as long as I’ve got you) do you known if, when capturing, there’s any way to log and save multiple clips with the same name? Such as, if I name a clip “Pan R/L” and then a few clips later (out of sequence) want to use the same title, “Pan R/L”, is there a setting I can change so that it doesn’t want to update the existing Pan R/L but create a different clip w/ the same name?
    Many thanks in advance.

On this subject, can someone point me to a good source to learn the finer points of working with the scopes? I’ve a basic understanding but would like to use Vegas 8 to its fullest extent.
    Many thanks in advance!

I think I found my problem. Seems to have something to do with the audio settings when I capture?

Many thanks again. Trying to make the adjustment from LE6 to Vegas. Very impressed with Vegas! I’ve yet another question which I can’t seem to find the answer to in the books so will post it next.
