Hi I was wondering if Vegas has video scopes? I need a wave form graph & Vector scope for color correction. I have version 7.0. If it does could someone please tell me the key board shortcut to view them. Thanks

    Mike ~

Under ‘View’ in the menu bar you will find ‘video scopes’, just check this item. Once open you will find a drop menu with a variety of options. To the right of the drop menu there is a button which when activated performs ‘update scopes while playing’. Use them all the time for exactly that, color correction.

    Hey there
I don’t know if 7 has them, but I do know that Pro 8a has the vector scopes mate. Maybe check the Sony page for a list of 7’s features

On this subject, can someone point me to a good source to learn the finer points of working with the scopes? I’ve a basic understanding but would like to use Vegas 8 to its fullest extent.
    Many thanks in advance!

Vegas 5/6/7/8 has video scopes (didn’t check 4). The “Movie Studio” versions may not include video scopes.

While not directly targeted at scopes, Glenn Chan has several articles on his site that may help.
There’s also the Color Correction in Sony Vegas DVD from VASST that gets into the use of scopes.

Re scopes, vectors, etc. This primer should give you a good starting point:
