    Hi Terry,
I’m not at my computer now but will try to explain. Apart from the weird looping on the time line, if I go to the slider on the right side of the box that holds my project clips in their assigned files (“Music”, “B-roll”, “Gfx”, etc) and drag it to the bottom of the box to look at the clips, when I release the slider is shoots right back up to the top, not allowing me to select a clip, graphic, etc. If my description doesn’t make sense to you I’ll post again tomorrow morning when I’m in front of my screen and describe it in better detail.
    Thanks,
    Sprague

    Hi guys,
It’s done it again. I’ve checked for any small bit of unseen media – none. I’ve turned off the looping feature – still does it. I think it’s a glitch as when I go to scroll down through my Project Media clips it snaps right back to the 1st clip. Any thoughts?
    Thanks again,
    Sprague

    Hi John,
Thanks for getting back to me. I just shut the computer off and re-booted and that seemed to clear it. I seem to remember that if I made a selection say 2 minutes down the time line, the cursor would snapback to the start even with looping turned off, “seem” being the operative word. If it happens again I’ll do as you suggest.
    Thanks,
    Sprague

    Hi Rick,
I think that did it! I had to crank the Position bias slider up to about +50 but as far as I can tell this is keeping everything in sync. Again, many thanks for your help on this, hopefully I can now get back to editing.

    Hi Rick,

Yup, got that far, was just having trouble with your question:

“… what is selected for an audio playback device in Vegas’ Audio Preferences”.

The only choice I can see in Preferences/Audio is “Preferred audio editor” and don’t think that’s what you meant. The guys who put the system together for me suggested a Saffire LE. Any thoughts? Is it basically an add-on that I’d do an audio out from the back of my tower to this or is it a bit more complicated?
    Thanks,
