It turned out to be a hoax… i can’t beleive there are idiots like that guy who go on wasting others time.

Moral of the story: If you want 4k, then go get a Red camera.

  • Yes there is a way!

You have download the 5D plug-in from Canon’s website & then hack it to make it work with Canon T2i. In fact it not only takes some hassle away but also saves a lot of time.

    You can see it here

My t2i has only heated up twice in 5 months use… and surprisingly 30-45 secs of rest gave it ample time to work again!

[Chris Wright] “make sure it has auto exposure correction or your zooms will change f-stops as you zoom in/out.”

As much as i know, its a fixed focal length lense. So you can’t zoom with it.

  • I have been using a monopod with my T2i for sometime now and i am very happy with the results.

I’ll suggest you buy a monopod alongwith a manfrotto 501 head. The head is about $ 170 from B&H and monopods too are very cheap. You can mount this head on your monopod and switch between your tripod and monopod.

Great thing about using a monopod is that once its rested on the ground it frees both your hands, so you can play around with the camera!

November 10, 2010 at 4:53 am in reply to: T2i Movie file unrecognized

If this is caused by the absence of thumbnail file, this is what you can do.

In the folder where your movie file is, bring a .thm file. It could be any .thm file from your t2i. Now you have to rename this clip. so if your movie file is

    xyz.mov

then your thumbnail file would be

    xyz.thm

After you have saved the file is this folder, try log & transfer and hopefully it should work fine.

[Nigel Thompson] “I too have an HVX200 but i usually use it with a Letus Extreme for extra depth of field”

I too have that exact equipment. But i am afraid t2i will be much sharper than hvx-letus combination. I have done some tests & its quite a bit of difference between the two.

However that being said, i have not tried any in-camera tricks(i.e lowering sharpness)on the T2i.May be that can help to match the two!
