If you can as it were mix and match parts, you could always replace with body parts from another person, and just match it in…

  • do you know how to boot into command line?

    https://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106388

boot into single user mode at the prompt it will tell you how to run fsck, which a unix disc util… keep running it till you don’t get any error messages… if there is still a problem then use tech tool pro. if you have journaling enabled, you get a set of unimportant messages, check out apple support for those.

    when it finishes reboot

if that does not work check out tech tool pro

this should fix it, if fsck can’t or if you don’t feel comfortable in command line…

  • oops my mistake… but still RT on a laptop is not going to happen with multi track yet… yes the mac book is fast but desktops are still faster when you compare comps in same generation…

  • The issue with RT on a laptop is that its a laptop, and with the macbooks there is no FW800, also the bus isn’t ideal, now you can do a cuts only, but multi track RT is not likely to work… and you’ll need a faster HD…

  • Did you repair the disk in disc util?…

If that doesn’t work go and run fsck…

If that doesn’t work get something like tech tool and run that…

one of those options should fix the problems

    Is the layer rasterized…?

  • I think the problem your running into is that you are capturing onto the same bus as the media is coming in on… you need to capture on a different bus ie your internal then move it… or get and FW pci card…

If your looking for RT you’ll be unlikely to find it on a laptop, what speed is your hard drive? 5400 or 7200?

If 5400 you might try using an external 7200rpm drive for media over FW…

Also if you don’t have a scratch drive you might try that too..

But in terms of RT a laptop won’t cut it, you’ll need to get a desktop…
