A quick way would be to duplicate the footage layer and add effects > generate > fill to the bottom layer, then scale it up a percentage point or two. Parent the bottom layer to the top layer if you intend to move the video around at all.

Hi Mike
Maybe this podcast of Aharon’s will do the trick?

Hi Carolina,
DNA is twisted in three dimensions, which is something that (as far as I know) the puppet tool cannot be used for. You would probably need a 3D application for this.

November 18, 2008 at 10:44 pm in reply to: CC Particle World – Linking position to an objectIt’s been a while since I’ve watched this tutorial, but if I remember correctly Andrew links the producer of his particle effect to a null. Apologies if I’m remembering incorrectly or if this tutorial is of no use to you.

November 12, 2008 at 11:07 pm in reply to: Full page overlay window – link from IFrame? Thanks Abraham,
To clarify: The CSS goes in the top page, along with the modified chunk of Javascript and this bit too <div id=”displaybox” style=”display: none;”></div>
Only the link that executes the function goes in the IFrame that I’ve got embedded into the top page?

November 12, 2008 at 10:47 pm in reply to: Full page overlay window – link from IFrame?Hi Abraham,
Thanks for replying.
I’m not sure if I made myself crystal clear in my last post. I’ve got the code working fine as is, no problems at all. But the way I want to use the code is different to the one you describe in your tutorial (in which the user clicks a link which makes the overlay appear on top of the same window).
I want my users to click a link which appears in a small IFrame which is embedded in a larger webpage, but for the overlay to appear on top of the larger page and not on top of the IFrame enbedded into that larger page. So I suppose I’m trying to get a click in one HTML page to ‘activate’ the overlay in another. Perhaps it’s not possible?

It’s a shame we won’t be seeing any more of your podcasts, Aharon, but thanks a lot for all you’ve done for the community here at the Cow. It’s fair to say that without your help I’d still be confusing my Composition panel with my Render Queue.
Best wishes for the future!

Ok, you can forget mpeg1. That’s old school, pre-dvd. Go for h.264. You’re always going to get a drop in quality, otherwise it wouldn’t be compressed. But a h.264 at high quality should look good.
