Right.. reverted back to internal osx drive with FCS2 and BM6.2
…and… it now plays 2 streams in the timeline!!! arghh… to hit n miss to solve 😕

Reverted back to 5.1.4 and Blackmagic 6.1 and we can do 2 streams of 720P60 again with no drive to slow error msg window popping up. Pops up with 3 trks but thats expected I suppose.
So whats changed?

Did you use Export > Quicktime in iPhoto and just set a duration ?
If so these quicktimes you created actually have each image on a seperate track in the quicktime file with a crossfade trk that has info on when QT mixes from one to another. It must not be a compatible format for FCP to have a QT with a cross fade track.
All I can suggest is loading the qt from iphoto into QT player then using Export to flatten the movie into one single track. But!.. you will loose the cross fades doing so. Imprt FCP.. razor them to cut up then insert dissolves..
Or just import all the stills into FCP and do dissolves. This way you can vary the duration also as it seems iphoto is stuck to a single duration for all dissolves.

Whats the route from the hdmi out? wheres the audio being fed to ?
If your projector is processing the picture it will delay it slightly like LCD tv’s do.. so the audio isn’t off the picture is.

I’m going to put the raid on another older 5.1.4 system and take it from there.

Fine, Just make sure you give each clip you capture a Reel number ie Reel001 etc..
save it a few times, save as.. then load project without closing the current one.. I’ve renamed reels only to save and reopen and the reels have no names again.
If you want to cut down your material with handles do the above..
if just re-compress I’d put everything in a single bin and just Export.

Oh and to add.. I wiped the osx disk prior to this and did a new osx fcs2 bm 6.2 install fresh.. so no upgrades.
