January 22, 2013 at 10:19 am in reply to: How to reconform an XML when Red footage is on more than one driveIt does ask I think he says.
Issue is he can only select one destination.
Can’t you command click multiple dest ?
otherwise just lob all the media into media pool before loading the XML

run fcp x and select a clip in the Events and Show in Finder.
Thats where the clips are. Unless you have multiple events.
Also depends if you transcoded and imported into fcpx events folder or just linked to the media and didnt transcode. In which case you need to point to the folder ORIG .movs are in as the ones n the Events folder will just be symbolic links ( alias’s)

First go hang whoever installed a PC and one thats not even designed to stream for editing in a Mac environment to share/edit video.
Call the people who sold it you ?
I’m sure Bob will comment.
It’s not as simple as 100MBs = streaming video. Its about the way the data needs to flow to each computer to say it simply.
If you are high n dry with no reseller support I’d do below.
Enable flowcontrol and jumbo frames 9000 on the switch
Enable jumbo frames 9000 on your imacs n macpros
Enable jumbo frames 9000 on ya nasTry one mac.
There are a ton of gotchya’s in this area….
Good luck!

December 19, 2012 at 6:20 pm in reply to: Gspeed ES Pro RAID keeps disappearing from Mac, have to re-initialize!What version of OSX ?
All these externals FW800 ? Always using the same FW800 port on ya macpro ?
If you can get 500Gig onto the Raid I’d try duplicating that 500Gig. Then dupe the 1TB..
See if that balks it.

Lol.. I’m not implying anything.
I’m saying that last time I talked to OWC when it was first annouced they were doing the storage and a switch as a jupiter san.
Can you see a switch ?
All I was saying was it seems they have the storage but dropped the switch part they were doing.
